  1. Voltage Drop Based upon Connected or Other Load

Be able to specify that the voltage drop on a feeder should be based upon the connected or other load, rather than the calculated load.

One example of a use for this feature is a piece of equipment that serves a single motor. You want the voltage drop for the connected load of the motor, rather than the calculate load, which will be 125% of the motor load.

  2. Copy panel and loads to new project

Be able to copy panels and other distribution from one project to another. The loads on the panel will be created as fixed loads in the new project.

  3. Reset panel "Fixed Loads".

Often, I need to "start over" on a panel that I've assigned fixed loads. It would be handy to have a button that would clear every fixed load on the panel. Or even be able to select several circuits and clear those circuit's fixed loads.

  5. Default label locations in blocks

Be able to specify locations for labels in blocks. When the labels are added to the block, they will be placed in the desired locations, rather than in the somewhat random default location they are currently placed in.

  6. Connect loops to fixtures on same switch first

When inserting automatic loops, connect devices on a switch together first rather than mixing up the loops when multiple switches are on a circuit.

  7. Define fixed load by phase

When defining fixed load on a panel schedule allow entry of per phase loads on two and three phase circuits in stead of lumped loads, i.e., on 2-pole circuit be able specify a load for phase A and B on any of the demand categories.

  8. Support Paralleled Generators Connected to Switchboard

DM does not currently support more than one source on the Normal side of an ATS or the EM side of ATS, however larger I-2, I-3 occupancies generally have paralleled generators connected to a switchboard. This feature would avoid cumbersome work arounds.

  12. Light Fixture Settings - Different Blocks

The ability to define an egress fixture as the same fixture/block as the normal fixtures, with an option to turn a hatch on/off to differentiate. Similar to in Revit, where you can set an instance parameter and check it to turn fixtures into the egress blocks. The fixture type stays the same, only the visible block changes.

  13. Do "Amps by Phase" using calculated loads on high-leg delta panels

High-leg delta panels are always unbalanced. The balanced 3-phase amps we display is not a good number to use when sizing these panels. The connected amps by phase does not account for largest motor loads or continuous loads.

Add the ability to determine the amps by phase using calculated loads. The largest motor, lighting, and continuous loads would all be calculated at 125%. All other loads would be calculated at 100%.

  16. Add "Clear Circuit" Button Back to "Circuiting" Dialog Box

Add the "Clear Circuit" command back to the "Circuiting" dialog box. This button will set all the breaker and branch circuit sizing options back to "Size Automatically", set all the fixed loads to "0", and set the circuit descriptions to be blank.

  17. Manufacturer Name field included within Notes Settings of distribution equipment

It would be helpful when creating distribution equipment lists if there was an option for the manufacturer's name. Currently we have to use an unused Note key, rename the label for that key and then remember which Notes Setting corresponds to the list entry.

  18. Erase Note - multiple

Select multiple devices and delete all custom notes (not fixture callouts) attached to them.
The "Match Device Label Locations" command can add many callouts at once, but there does not seem to be a way to easily delete multiple callouts.
This would be especially useful when adding lights to a circuit that already contains lights. Running “Draw Homerun And Loops" would erase a lot of my work, so I usually delete all the circuit callouts manually before drawing loops manually.
If this feature already exists, please make it easier to find.

  19. Paralleling Switchgear Support

Would be very helpful to be able to be able to have multiple sources connect to the same bus. We have had numerous situations where we have had Geneva type switches, multiple kirk-key input as well as paralleling switchgear situations where we were unable to find a "work-around" using this software. This is becoming especially common with ConEdison now permitting the paralleling of electrical sources.
