Diffuser Airflow Patterns
HVAC diffusers have air flow patterns much like light fixtures have photometric patterns.
Air Diffuser manufacturers supply the pattern shapes and provide the distances in feet for airflow velocities at 150FPM, 100FPM and 50FPM for heating and cooling.
Is there a way you can give the DM user the ability to insert their own airflow pattern (through a formatted file input) with contour lines similar to DM photo metrics?
This would be DM's start into Computational Fluid Dynamics.

Specify fault at upstream device
Be able to specify the fault at the upstream device, rather than at the current device. This feature would be useful when you want to specify the fault at the utility transformer but it is not included in the Revit model.

System capacity for mechanical equipment
It would be great if when entering the equipment you could enter system capacity; then when running the load calc, similarly to what DM offers for CFM, you could have Current BTUs and Required BTUs. This could be per zone.

Transfer Grilles for Air Balance Report
Add a transfer grille option for return air so that you can use the balance report function on projects which use transfer grilles.

Light Fixture Settings - Different Blocks
The ability to define an egress fixture as the same fixture/block as the normal fixtures, with an option to turn a hatch on/off to differentiate. Similar to in Revit, where you can set an instance parameter and check it to turn fixtures into the egress blocks. The fixture type stays the same, only the visible block changes.

Equipment in takeoffs
Display equipment information in takeoffs. (Currently the equipment blocks are graphical only, mainly for 3D drafting).

Swap circuits in Revit
Be able to swap circuits in Revit like you can using the "Move Circuit" command in DM Electrical for AutoCAD.

Equipment airflow available
Set the available CFM for a piece of equipment. If this value changes, update the airflow assigned in the downstream ducts.

Add "Panel Neutral" in Revit MEP
Add "Panel Neutral" as a parameter to panels in Revit MEP.
Options for neutral would be:
50%
100%
133%
200%
NoneThis value would be a shared parameter for scheduling purposes. It would not be used in any calculations.

Do "Amps by Phase" using calculated loads on high-leg delta panels
High-leg delta panels are always unbalanced. The balanced 3-phase amps we display is not a good number to use when sizing these panels. The connected amps by phase does not account for largest motor loads or continuous loads.
Add the ability to determine the amps by phase using calculated loads. The largest motor, lighting, and continuous loads would all be calculated at 125%. All other loads would be calculated at 100%.

Tick marks for more than 1-pole, wire callouts for > #12
Add another option to "Homerun wire callouts and tick marks" labeled "Tick marks for more than 1-pole , wire callouts for > #12".

Color code room outlines by wall type.
So for example when modifying walls during a load calc. Exterior walls might be red, partitions blue, and interior walls (no heat transfer) green. This could even be expanded to visually shows with color walls that have windows or doors.
There have been many times when I've had to back check walls that were inadvertently called out as partitions instead of exterior. Color coding would give an instant visual clue where mistakes might have been made.

Right click when entering Duct Labels to Rotate Label
Similar to how you can right click to add leader lines when labeling diffusers, it would be helpful to be able to right click duct labels to rotate them instead of making this a two step process. Also, rotating it would remove the arrow that sometimes accompanies the duct label.

Compare Number of Balancing Dampers with Diffusers
A simple command that checks the number of volume dampers to the number of diffusers/grilles/registers in the database.

Actual Tonnage for HVAC Equipment
Add an option to specify the actual tonnage for HVAC equipment in the zone dialog. Use this value to display actual CFM / ton and other values.

Add "Clear Circuit" Button Back to "Circuiting" Dialog Box
Add the "Clear Circuit" command back to the "Circuiting" dialog box. This button will set all the breaker and branch circuit sizing options back to "Size Automatically", set all the fixed loads to "0", and set the circuit descriptions to be blank.

Duct Continuation
There may already be an option (please inform me as I am not aware) for a 'duct continuation symbol/fitting'. Currently I have to go back and Pline a goofy looking thing to indicate continuations in the ductwork. Any thoughts?

Manufacturer Name field included within Notes Settings of distribution equipment
It would be helpful when creating distribution equipment lists if there was an option for the manufacturer's name. Currently we have to use an unused Note key, rename the label for that key and then remember which Notes Setting corresponds to the list entry.
