Export load data into CSV file for GLD
It would be great if you could create an export option for load profile excel csv file into GLD (Ground Loop Design) software. I'm told Trace 3D does not offer this feature, could give you a leg up...

Import Ductwork from Past Project Databases
Import ductwork and equipment from other databases. This facilitates additional projects at the same location. The thought is that if we can import the ductwork as existing from old projects, it would allow us to add/remove/modify ductwork much easier and quicker then re-drawing the existing ductwork from the previous project.

People in Room Setting
Add an option to input people in a room using "People / 1000 sf" as the unit. Currently you can input people using "SF / Person" which requires a conversion from the numbers provided by some codes.

Option to not round GRD CFM
DM currently rounds CFM's of GRD's to nearest 5 CFM. I request an option to not have any rounding applied.

Match Runout size to GRD Neck Size Automatically (without running CALC)
Would you please consider an option to size the runout the same as the diffuser connection, without having to use the CALC function? That feature would be a big timesaver!

Net Occupiable Floor Area
Most codes determine ventilation air based on "Net Occupiable Area" and not the actual room area. It would be nice to have a feature added that would allow for the net occupiable area be added at the room dialogue level (either by inputting the value or setting it as a percent of the room area) and be utilized in calculating the ventilation air.

It will be good to add duct size(width&Height or diameter) in "Duct pressure drop report" of HVAC.
I've been using HVAC program to confirm weather other designers designed well or not, give an options to change his or her design and report these. So, it is essential to show which part's shall be changed in report. Fortunately, "duct length" can be included by checking option box.

"Match Room Properties" for Load Calculations
When doing room definitions for load calculations there are some properties that pertain to many or all other rooms in the building like "ceiling height" and the "roof properties."
I think it would be useful to have a command like match wall properties for the room properties so I can set up the roof (which almost always applies to the whole building), ceiling height, ventilation requirements, etc. and copy from one room to any others that have the same properties.

HVAC Load Calc Graphics for Windows/Glass
Provide a graphic for windows/glass located on walls so you can see easily and quickly figure out which windows have been entered into the load calculation.
Additional idea: Make it a dynamic block so that when you change the width (using a grip) you can stretch the window to change the actual width. The width x height would display above this graphic.

Make duct centerlines independent of DIMSCALE
When working at a smaller scale (ie. 1/8th"), make it so the duct center lines always appear the same size. The duct center lines are drafting tools only and do not appear on the drawing therefore having them adjust with the DIMSCALE is not neccesary. When the DIMSCALE is changed to 96 or higher, drafting in tight spaces can be difficult when the duct centerlines are large because the arrows are too large to work with and tend to overlap others.

Labeling diffuser cal louts with (TYP 2) if they are in the same room or near each other.
When the same diffusers are located in the same room, it would be nice if there was an option to label one diffuser and then (TYP and then the quantity it applies to) as opposed to labeling each individual grille/diffuser. This would help clean up the drawings quite a bit from unneeded notations.

Add option for multiple neck sizes under one diffuser tag in the schedule
In the diffuser tag, add a spot to list the diffuser neck size (so the duct runout doesn't need to be labeled and will clean the drawings up). It would be nice if one diffuser tag can be used for various diffuser neck sizes, for instance, a CD-1 is more of a description of the diffuser type and model and a pull down with diffuser neck size would be input, then the schedule can list CD-1 with a line for quantity of each diffuser size. This would make creating a master schedule much simpler.

Automatically add Diffuser Arrows for 1W, 2W, 3W & 4W
In the diffuser definition dialog box, designate whether it is a 1W, 2W, 3W or 4W diffuser, then attach that number of arrows. When placing the diffuser, allow the user to rotate the diffuser to align the appropriate air flow direction.

Diffuser Airflow Patterns
HVAC diffusers have air flow patterns much like light fixtures have photometric patterns.
Air Diffuser manufacturers supply the pattern shapes and provide the distances in feet for airflow velocities at 150FPM, 100FPM and 50FPM for heating and cooling.
Is there a way you can give the DM user the ability to insert their own airflow pattern (through a formatted file input) with contour lines similar to DM photo metrics?
This would be DM's start into Computational Fluid Dynamics.
