Simpler way to Change fonts in all your panel/switch box schedules
Right now, one has to edit all the blocks of a panel schedule in order to simply change the font. There should be a way to set the preferred font for all these schedules. If there is a way, I don't know about it. When I first set up DM 10 years or so ago, I do not remember having to change every block, but it's been so long ago...

Customizable tick marks
DesignMaster currently supports the following tick marks during an "Insert tick mark" operation:
- Hots
- Neutral
- Ground
- Iso ground
- Switch leg
- Traveller
- Space
We'd like the option to include customizable tick marks in addition to the ones already implemented above. For example, we include tick marks for low voltage cabling used to dim luminaries on our drawings.
I imagine the customization being performed through Design Master Electrical Options under the "Tick Mark Blocks" section. There'd be a "Customized tick mark 1 name" option and another option called "Customized tick mark 1 block". These customized tick marks would then show up in…

Do "Amps by Phase" using calculated loads on high-leg delta panels
High-leg delta panels are always unbalanced. The balanced 3-phase amps we display is not a good number to use when sizing these panels. The connected amps by phase does not account for largest motor loads or continuous loads.
Add the ability to determine the amps by phase using calculated loads. The largest motor, lighting, and continuous loads would all be calculated at 125%. All other loads would be calculated at 100%.

A spreadsheet like table, simular to the fault calculations, that shows all the load calculation fields by panel, as they move to the final
A spreadsheet like table, similar to the fault calculations, that shows all the load calculation categories by panel, as they move to the final service calculation. We could then turn the load calculation footer off on the panel schedules and include this summary table in the drawings. It would also be great to figure out how the loads are adding up.

Add "Clear Circuit" Button Back to "Circuiting" Dialog Box
Add the "Clear Circuit" command back to the "Circuiting" dialog box. This button will set all the breaker and branch circuit sizing options back to "Size Automatically", set all the fixed loads to "0", and set the circuit descriptions to be blank.

Manufacturer Name field included within Notes Settings of distribution equipment
It would be helpful when creating distribution equipment lists if there was an option for the manufacturer's name. Currently we have to use an unused Note key, rename the label for that key and then remember which Notes Setting corresponds to the list entry.

Print Full Panel Schedules to 8.5x11 Sheets
Print full panel schedules, exactly as shown on the drawing, to a printer using 8.5x11 paper.
One specific use for these panel schedules would be to be submitted to Labor and Industries in Washington state for review.

Erase Note - multiple
Select multiple devices and delete all custom notes (not fixture callouts) attached to them.
The "Match Device Label Locations" command can add many callouts at once, but there does not seem to be a way to easily delete multiple callouts.
This would be especially useful when adding lights to a circuit that already contains lights. Running “Draw Homerun And Loops" would erase a lot of my work, so I usually delete all the circuit callouts manually before drawing loops manually.
If this feature already exists, please make it easier to find.1 vote -
Paralleling Switchgear Support
Would be very helpful to be able to be able to have multiple sources connect to the same bus. We have had numerous situations where we have had Geneva type switches, multiple kirk-key input as well as paralleling switchgear situations where we were unable to find a "work-around" using this software. This is becoming especially common with ConEdison now permitting the paralleling of electrical sources.

Populate MCC Information Based upon Equipment
The motor control center schedule includes several fields that could be populated from the information entered into the equipment connection devices. These include:
Disconnect fuse size
Starter NEMA size
Starter type (ie, starter description)However, these fields do not populate automatically when the equipment connection devices are circuited to the motor control center. Is there a way to make the motor control center fields automatically pick this information from the equipment connection devices when they are circuited to a motor control center? Is there a way to override automatically populating the starter information into the motor control center when the…

New and Existing Circuits / Breakers in Panel Schedule
Be able to show new and existing circuits on different layers in a panel schedule. The existing circuits would be on a lighter layer and the new circuits would be on a darker layer. The rest of the schedule could be on either the new or existing layer.

Demolition Layer Devices
I do not feel that the schedules should show counts for devices like receptacles and computer outlets that are on a demolition layer.

Highlight Footcandle Levels Below a Certain Level
It would also be nice if foot candle levels less than a certain value could be a different color. This would make it easier to spot levels below a certain threshold, like fc levels for emergency egress lower limits.

Redefine Panel Schedule Blocks
Add a command to automatically erase and reinsert panel schedules so that attribute locations are updated correctly.
Currently, you have to manually erase the schedule, redefine the block, and reinsert the schedule.
