  4. Swap circuits in Revit

Be able to swap circuits in Revit like you can using the "Move Circuit" command in DM Electrical for AutoCAD.

  5. Be able to create a panel schedule for existing loads not in model

I do a lot of remodel work and it would be nice to be able to fill out a panel schedule with existing load data from a hard copy of an existing panel schedule without have to actually put the loads in the model and then circuiting them.

  6. Update Electrical One-line Diagram symbols

Up-date Electrical One-line Diagram to show Existing, Demo, New, and Future out of the box. My suggestion is listed below but I am open to other suggestions.

    • Existing - gray thin solid lines
    • Demo - black dashed medium lines
    • New - black solid medium lines
    • Future - gray solid medium lines

  7. Circuit Comments

Add comments to circuits in the Circuit Edit command. Transfer the comment value to the circuit and to the devices connected to the circuit.

This feature would allow additional information from a circuit to be scheduled on the devices. It would be similar to how DM currently pushes the breaker size to from the circuit to the device that can then be used in equipment schedules.

  8. Automatically generate one-line diagram in Revit based on distribution system.

Automation is a must! It's all about efficiency to allow more time to focus on aesthetics and functionality, the things that really matter to clients.

I would not see this as a reverse workflow. Many times I will place panels in the model prior to drafting a one-line.

We need a way to link two family instances together so that when you update one of the instances it updates the other.

  11. voltage drop

Would like to have the ability at instance edit or circuit edit to be able to select load or 80% of breaker for the calculation in lieu of only having overall project level option.

  12. Room Names in Circuit Description

Provide an option for Room Names analogous to the "Conduit location" Option. Also consider other customization:

-Custom Room prefix - e.g. RM
    -Option to include/exclude Name - e.g., RM 120
-Option to include/exclude Number - e.g., RM FIRE RISER

    Room Names Location:
    ->Start of Circuit Description
    ->End of Circuit Description

Currently the room names always go at the end, just like OOTB Revit. Having the option to put the room at the start would allow for better scheduling for when the intent is for circuits to be organized by room, like so:

  13. Include "1" before single ground and neutral wires

Add an option to include a "1" in the wire callout before single ground and neutral wires. Currently the wire size is listed with no count before it.

    Current wire callout:
    1/2"C, 1#12, #12N, #12G

    New wire callout:
    1/2"C, 1#12, 1#12N, 1#12G

  14. Edit Multiple on "Feeder Phase" Command

I'd like to be able to modify the graphics of multiple single-line objects at the same time. The issue with the current set-up is when I'm modeling existing single-line diagrams, which is very often, for every feeder segment I have to individually select them, click Modify Graphic, and select the "Light Solid" option which we've made gray to use for existing. I have to repeat this for every existing feeder and breaker on the diagram. This is incredibly time consuming for large projects. Sometimes taking a whole day just to update the single-line graphics to show properly for existing vs…

This feature would be implemented by updating the "Feeder Phase" command to allow you to select multiple feeders at once.

    Workarounds #1 for feeders:

Use the "Feeder Phase" command. It will change all the segments of a feeder for you. It does still require you to run the command for each individual feeder.

    https://www.designmaster.biz/help/electrobim/usermanual/single-line-diagram/sld-feeders/feeder-phase/

    Workaround #2 for feeders:

Use the Panel Edit command, Single-Line Diagram Graphics Settings button. Change the Upstream OCP Graphic / Type and Feeder ID Graphic / Type.

Do this setting before you insert the feeder and the whole thing will come in with the type you chose. It also will use that type if you redraw the feeder.

Do this setting after you insert the feeder and it will update just the OCP and ID segments. Use Revit to change the generic segments to the correct type. They will not change during the "Calculate" command.

  15. Modify Motor OCP Trip calculations

I'm proposing modifications, or new options, to the OCP Trip calculation methods for motors.
Currently, if you have one of the options using FLA and/or MOCP, if those values are blank and all you have is a load, you won't get an accurately sized breaker.
I'm looking for a single universal calculation method, that can be used whether you have an FLA/MOCP or not.

My thought on how that can work: if FLA is blank, use the Load to calculate an FLA and size the breaker based on that load per the selected calculation method.

    Some background on why this…

  16. Batch link

Assign/Change link of multiple detail items based on matching panel name of 3D equipment. That way standard risers for certain building types can be reused more easily

  17. Upsize wire based on circuit length

Upsize the wire based on voltage and length. Example is we often have a note to use #10's for 120V 20A circuit greater than 100ft in length and 277V 210A circuit greater than 150ft in length.

  19. Specify fault at upstream device

Be able to specify the fault at the upstream device, rather than at the current device. This feature would be useful when you want to specify the fault at the utility transformer but it is not included in the Revit model.

  20. Add a parameter for AIC rating of breakers in database

Add the AIC rating of each breaker in the database for each voltage and then create a parameter that shows the AIC rating for the breaker. The AIC rating for the breakers would show different values base on the voltage selected.
