What Marc is asking for is different than what Bryant is asking for. This feature, if implemented, would be to make the notes fields for panels long, with an option for them to wrap when inserted in the schedule.

Being able to swap in different attributes based upon the device type would be something else and is unlikely to happen. The way to handle that now would be to create different headers for the different types of devices, with the correct attributes included.

Title 24 also says that lighting may have to be controlled depending on the type, wattage, and location of that lighting. Most times it means that we're using 0-10v dimming on LED fixtures. In those instances we draw loops connecting those fixtures with a standard ground-neutral-hot-switched combination, but we'll also include a tick mark that shows we intend to carry low-voltage wiring to that fixture so we can dim the lamps to comply with T24. This helps our pre-fab crew when they look at the drawings to identify what type and quantity of MC cable they'll need for each project.

We are not currently working on this feature. We know there is interest. It is going to take some work to get it done correctly.

I merged a similar idea into this one. The description for the other idea was:

"The light fixture schedule allows you to enter lumens/lamp for fixture operation for both general lighting and egress lighting. When we insert the light fixture, we can check a box to include the fixture for general or egress or both photometric calcs. This puts fixtures on the plan with the same callout for both general and egress light fixtures.

"As a way to automatically differentiate between the two. For example, put an "(E)" (remove the quotes) after the fixture type or something else (even an asterisk) to indicate an emergency egress fixture, i.e. L(E), or L*. We would then add a note at the end of our fixture schedule that indicates light fixtures
indicated as (E) are emergency type or put it in the remarks column of the schedule."

Comment from a merged suggestion: Having the ability to insert multi-gang switches, each with the ability to enter its own subscript would allow the bill of materials to get the coorect count of multi-gang plates. IE SSSS

I think this is how this would work:

1-pole circuit, #12 wire--no tick marks, no callout
    2 or 3-pole circuit, #12 wire--tick marks, no callout
1-pole circuit, #10 wire--no tick marks, wire callout
    2 or 3-pole circuit, #10 wire--tick marks, wire callout

Dwayne--this request is for the ability to use the MOVE command or GRIPS in AutoCAD to move the diffuser callout. Currently you have to use the "DM HVAC->Diffusers->Insert or Move Callout" command to move them.

To remove callouts and display a single typical callout, use the "DM HVAC->Diffusers->Remove Callout"

One workaround, other than manually setting everything back to the default values, is to use the "Move Circuits" command, select a blank circuit on the left and the circuit you want to clear on the right and press the "Copy" button.

If you do vote for us, it would be helpful to indicate how frequently you use this command and what you are using it for.

We can look into adding these to the default customization we include. For the moment, you can manually add them using the current LVD commands.

Watts is an override for Input VA. If the Input VA is correct, don't specify a Watts value. That is only intended for times when the values are different.

I'll see what I can do for Description. Defaulting to use Schedule Description with an option to override is probably what I'll look to add.

The current workaround for this request is to insert the panel schedules as normal. Use layout tabs to create the 8.5x11 sheets. Plot the layouts using the standard AutoCAD PLOT command.

Tip: You can right-click on a tab and select "Move or Copy" to create a copy of a layout tab. Create one that looks right with your titleblock and viewport and scaling set up correctly. Then copy it for the other schedules.

Thank you for the clarifications. That does sound like a useful feature. I will see about adding it in an upcoming release.

I'm not familiar with the "Select Similar" command, so I'm a little unclear about this request. In particular, once you have the device selected, what do you do next?

It sounds like you are trying to insert one like one that is already on the drawing. Does copying the device, then querying it to make changes work?

Or are you intending this for something else--circuiting, modifying, deleting?

I am also merging in the "Shunt Trip Breakers in Panel Schedule" idea with this one. Its description was "Provide the ability to specify a breaker as a shunt trip breaker in the panel schedule. Shunt trip breakers typically use and extra panel slot. Currently we just show a blank space (no breaker) under the shunt trip and label it 'space for shunt trip'."

I am merging the votes from the "Breaker Types" wish to this one. The description of that wish was: "Be able to specify and document various types of breakers, such as GFCI, and shunt-trip."

Display load assigned to each load type on a circuit.

Note that this would be implemented as total load on the circuit for each type. It would not be broken down by phase.
