Add a select similar command for devices similar to AutoCAD and AutoCAD MEPs select similar command
I would like to right click on a device already on the plan, and hit select similar rather than having to open up a separate dialogue to pick a device/LVD/Light Fixture device, and then place it. In other words, I'd like to bypass the select device dialogue altogether whenever possible.

Thank you for the clarifications. That does sound like a useful feature. I will see about adding it in an upcoming release.

I understand this (and agree). It is like a copy, except it also allows for rotation. I would call it "Insert similar". My receptacle list is rather lengthy, and it would be nice to avoid going back to the insert receptacle menu just because I determine I need to insert another similar device later.

You are correct. I want to be able to select a device already on the plan, right click or hit a button on the ribbon, we'll call it DM_SelectSimilar, and it will pull the device information, it's overrides, subscript notes, etc. and start the device placement process, bypassing the "Insert Receptacle/Insert Light Fixture/etc." dialogue box altogether. Copying an existing is fine, but then it doesn't prompt me to rotate the device in place. I could do MOCORO or whatever the command is called, but would prefer an option that comes from DesignMaster itself so that I know what it is I'm doing is intended by the software designers themselves.

I'm not familiar with the "Select Similar" command, so I'm a little unclear about this request. In particular, once you have the device selected, what do you do next?
It sounds like you are trying to insert one like one that is already on the drawing. Does copying the device, then querying it to make changes work?
Or are you intending this for something else--circuiting, modifying, deleting?
