Print Panel Schedules to Place Inside Panels
Add a command to print panel schedules that can be placed inside panels. The panel schedule will have options to include some basic information in the header, and then list each circuit and the load description.
The width of the panel schedule will be variable to accommodate the various size sleeves that panels come with.

Change Fixture Tags as a part of "Edit Multiple Fixtures".
When "Editing Multiple Fixtures", the fixture in the database is changed, but the fixture tag is not changed in the drawing. It would be good for this to change automatically, similar to the attributes of "edit multiple receptacles" so that each fixture tag does not have to be edited manually.
2 votesThis is implemented in Design Master Electrical 8.1.
-
Turn Off Individual Diffuser Tags
Be able to turn diffuser tags on and off for specific diffusers.
2 votesThis feature is completed and will be included in DM HVAC 7.1.
-
High Voltage Motors
Add higher voltage ranges for equipment and power distribution equipment. Allow us to utilize a 4160v option for larger motors on projects that have very large motors.

HVAC Material Takeoff
Extract duct sizes and quantities from the HVAC database.
We're not exactly sure how this should work, so if you vote for this, leave a comment letting us know what information you would like displayed.
11 votesA final version of this, including fitting counts, will be included in DM HVAC 7.3.

Place Panel Lug or Main OPD, the Panel Outline in One-Line Diagram
Also when a panel/switch board is inserted we currently draw the outline of the panel and the lug and/or main OPD is placed automatically. We would like to place the lug and/or OPD first so it is easier to line up devices.

Show Panels without Lugs on One-Line Diagram
When drawing a panel with a main breaker it shows a lug and a breaker. This causes confusion with the people we have looking at the drawings. We would prefer not to see the lug symbol so there is no confusion between panels with main lug and main breakers.

Duct elevation tags
Add duct top and bottom elevation tags based on the duct elevation and height. Tag would be turned on/off like duct size labels.
7 votesI’ve been waiting for a feature like this—this is something that is implemented and included in the next release of the DM HVAC. Thanks for the suggestion, now you can go spend your votes on other ideas!
-
Set Maximum Schedule Height
Set a maximum height for schedules. If the schedule exceeds that height, it will continue with the schedule in the space to the right of the schedule.
9 votesThis feature is completed and will be included in Design Master HVAC 7.1, Design Master Electrical 8.1, and Design Master Plumbing 3.1.
-
Set CFM Total for a Zone
Set the total CFM value for a zone. This value will be distributed to the rooms based upon the relative calculated CFM values.

Equipment Connections with Shared Definitions
Create a way to schedule equipment similar to light fixtures or receptacles so that you have multiple instances of one type of equipment. Often a piece of equipment appears multiple times in a project. This feature will make it easier to update when the definition of the equipment changes.
3 votesWe implemented what we hope covers the spirit of this request in DM Electrical 8.3. Rather than make shared definitions, we decided to make it possible (and easy) to change multiple pieces of equipment at once. Using the “Edit Multiple Equipment” command, you can select all the similar equipment and make changes to all of it at once.
-
Allow Circuit Descriptions in Panels to Wrap
Make it so that if a circuit description in a panel is too long, it adds another line rather than extending off the panel.
17 votesThis feature is completed and will be included in Design Master Electrical 8.1.

Device subscripts on schedules
When an electrical device is created that always has a subscript(i.e. G subscript for ground fault receptacle) that subscript is not inserted with the device in the symbol column of the schedule. We have to add text to the symbol in the schedule to note the different types of receptacles. If the schedule changes the text needs to be manually updated. An option to include the subscript with the symbol would be helpful.
5 votesThis will be included in DM Electrical 8.0.
-
Improve Duct Break Graphics
Omit the line that appears on only one side of a transparent duct section. Simply make the duct section transparent and allow the user to insert symbols as desired.
3 votesWe have added this as an option for DM HVAC 7.0.

Edit Multiple Equipment and Equipment Navigation
Add a new "Edit Multiple Equipment" command. You can select multiple pieces of equipment either from a list in the database or from the drawing. You can then make changes to all the selected equipment at once.
Add "Find", "Next", and "Previous" buttons to the equipment dialog box that work like in the panel or schedule dialog boxes.

add a panel based demand factor for devices
Under Design Master Electrical Options=>Miscellaneous=>Custom Load Type=>Calculation Method, add a fourth option which is call “Panel Based” which would still have a default demand factor. Then when we go in to circuit a device with that demand factor name we will circuit it to the default demand. However, as we move up to upstream panels and see that device circuited already, we can change the demand factor in the circuit panel which is typically dimmed. This will solve the problem we have of dealing with Trailer parks, docks, Ranges, Dryers, and other devices that have different demands as you move…
8 votesThis is implemented for DM Electrical 8.3.

Default Lighting and Fault Current Schedules
Give us the ability to set default styles/values for fault current and lighting fixture schedules so we don't have to recreate them for every project.
7 votesYou should be able to accomplish this with the standards and master databases currently available. I wrote a support blog post to explain the process:
