Current Limiting Panel
For limiting the current to track lights to meet Energy Code budgets, we use Current Limiting Panels like Silver Bullet. We have to manually size the circuit breakers based on the load on the lighting circuit. The breakers which might be 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 amps, etc. will only handle up to about 80% of their rating due to inrush current to ballasts and LED drivers. So, there is a lot of trial and error and manual calculating to size the breakers. Then the Current Limiting Panel schedule or diagram is updated manually in Acad, which introduces errors and…

Apply demand factors to loads by phase on panels
NEC demand factors currently are calculated for the whole panel, not for each individual phase. It is possible to load one phase with a load type that has a demand factor (such as a kitchen load) and the other phases with load types that do not (such as continuous). The total load on the panel should account for these differences in demand factors by phase.

Highlight Footcandle Levels Below a Certain Level
It would also be nice if foot candle levels less than a certain value could be a different color. This would make it easier to spot levels below a certain threshold, like fc levels for emergency egress lower limits.

Command to Automatically Turn Photometric Layers On and Off
It would be nice to have ribbon menu icon commands to turn the photometric layers on and off as well as automatically turn the respective layer back on after doing a recalc of either general or egress lighting.

Calculate General and Egress Photometrics in Same Boundary
It would be nice if we didn't need to create two photometric calculation areas. It would be great if one calc area could work for both general and egress calcs.

More customization for equipment callouts
Add more complicated options for callouts on equipment.
Add MCA and MOCP as notes on the callout on the drawing.
See images on this forum post for examples:

add medium voltage conductors as an option when sizing conduits.
MV conductor insulation is much larger so you cannot get as many conductors inside a conduit. if you're using design master to calculate your feeder conduits it will be incorrect over 600v. I don't believe this is readily apparent now.

Different layer systems for different loops and tick marks on a circuit
We can assign layers based on one-line (panel) or circuit or devices however not all parts of circuit are on the same layer. I may run some in the slab and some in the walls. Having the ability toi use the manual loop tool to change the layer system would be helpful. Also having the ability to assign a device to multiple layers would be helpful as well.
Or have some of the loops new and some existing.

Low Voltage Homerun With Keynote
On low voltage systems drawings (Fire Alarm, Security, CCTV) we treat homeruns differently than power and lighting homeruns. We do not use the circuit label, wire callout, or tick marks, but rather we use a keynote. If there was a “keynote homerun”, it would save us the time spent removing the wire call-out every time we create low voltage homerun.

For Energy Code compliance, the light Fixture Schedule should include a subtotal of watts for each fixture type, and a total of watts for all the fixtures on the posted schedule. That will help expedite the Lighting Power Density calculations required for Energy Code Compliance.

Selected device type to find that are uncircuited
Often I circuit items by device type, such as equipment first, then general receptacles, and finally lighting. Sometimes I only show the light fixtures or site lighting but don't ever circuit them as a lighting designer is taking that part of the contract. So under either situation if the symbols have already been placed and I do the “Highlight Uncircuited Devices” command, I get so many lines going all over the place that I can't find out which receptacles I haven't circuited. It would be nice under the Highlight Uncircuited Devices label you have a sub-selection of: Receptacle, Lights, Equipment,…
