  2. Subfeed breakers

Add specific support for subfeed breakers.

Be able to set the number of subfeed breakers on a panel (similar to how the number of poles is currently set on a panel).

Have the panel schedule update to document which breakers are subfeed. We likely would add a separator block between the branch circuit and subfeed breakers that you could customize. The default block would have a line across the schedule plus some text indicating branch circuit breakers above and subfeed below. You could then modify that as desired for your documentation purposes.

  3. Add multiple circuits to a single piece of equipment (ie. HVAC) one for each load.

Some HVAC and other pieces of equipment require multiple circuits for multiple loads inside each unit. Currently I have to create 2 pieces of equipment with the individual loads, overlay them, then circuit them.

  4. Draw Circuit Loops Using Polylines instead of Arcs

When you loop from one device to another, be able to select that loop and break it in to two loops that can each individually be moved or broke. This way we can have "S" loops.

DM Note: When we implement this, it will probably be by allowing you to insert a loop using a pline. This will allow you to insert the loop however you want without any restrictions.

  5. Improve combined homeruns

Be able to combine homeruns with different wire sizes.

Be able to combine homeruns from separate panels.

Be able to display a full wire callout for combined circuit homeruns, including calculating the conduit size required for all the wires.

  6. Export schedules to excel

My estimators are always asking me if they can get my fixture or panel schedules in an excel format.

  7. Multiple Switch Legs on a Single Switch

Allow a single switch to have multiple switch legs associated with it. Currently we require a separate switch for each switch leg.

  8. Create Separate One-Lines for Each LVD Group

I have Security, F/A, Lighting Control Panels, Audio, and Data groups and would like to be able to create separate low voltage one-line risers for them.

  9. New and Existing Circuits / Breakers in Panel Schedule

Be able to show new and existing circuits on different layers in a panel schedule. The existing circuits would be on a lighter layer and the new circuits would be on a darker layer. The rest of the schedule could be on either the new or existing layer.

  10. Add Sections to Panels

Define how many breakers are in each section of panel. This would be used when creating a 84 circuit panel that is made up of 2 sections, each with 42 circuits.

For the panel schedule, include a separator between the sections.

When circuiting, do not allow 2 or 3 pole circuits to span the two sections.

  11. Set number of spare breakers

Add an option to require a set number of spare breakers on every panel. The other breakers in the panel would be listed as spaces.

  12. Select automatic conduit based on Type

When selecting conduit I want to be able to select the feeder as schedule 80 so that the only size option would be based on schedule 80. Then on another feeder I could select EMT for my circuits and the only option for auto sizing would be based on EMT. Finally, I would then have the option of adding the type to my one-lines and a conduit schedule.

  14. Export the luminaire schedule into excel

I have lighting reps ask me all the time for an excel spreadsheet of our luminaire schedule. It would be helpful to export our luminaire schedule into excel.

  15. Support Paralleled Generators Connected to Switchboard

DM does not currently support more than one source on the Normal side of an ATS or the EM side of ATS, however larger I-2, I-3 occupancies generally have paralleled generators connected to a switchboard. This feature would avoid cumbersome work arounds.

  16. Add horsepower of individual loads on mcc schedules

The MCC schedule doesn't have the ability to show horsepower values for the individual loads. This is important information for the MCC vendor for breaker and overload sizing.

I do not feel that the schedules should show counts for devices like receptacles and computer outlets that are on a demolition layer.

  18. Voltage Drop Based upon Connected or Other Load

Be able to specify that the voltage drop on a feeder should be based upon the connected or other load, rather than the calculated load.

One example of a use for this feature is a piece of equipment that serves a single motor. You want the voltage drop for the connected load of the motor, rather than the calculate load, which will be 125% of the motor load.

  19. Do "Amps by Phase" using calculated loads on high-leg delta panels

High-leg delta panels are always unbalanced. The balanced 3-phase amps we display is not a good number to use when sizing these panels. The connected amps by phase does not account for largest motor loads or continuous loads.

Add the ability to determine the amps by phase using calculated loads. The largest motor, lighting, and continuous loads would all be calculated at 125%. All other loads would be calculated at 100%.
