'Capped Ductwork for Future Use' command
This is similar to the 'end cap' command, but would draw a 'capped for future use' symbol on the end of a duct branch.

Luminaire energy code settings should default to "input VA" for Watts & "schedule descrip." for description
This would save two extra input steps in most cases. You could still click into the box to edit the Watts and Description.

Query Low Voltage Device
Query command does not show circuit connection for low voltage devices. We typically have low voltage devices connected to different panels, and querying the device to determine the panel to which it is circuited would be nice.

Print Full Panel Schedules to 8.5x11 Sheets
Print full panel schedules, exactly as shown on the drawing, to a printer using 8.5x11 paper.
One specific use for these panel schedules would be to be submitted to Labor and Industries in Washington state for review.

Add a select similar command for devices similar to AutoCAD and AutoCAD MEPs select similar command
I would like to right click on a device already on the plan, and hit select similar rather than having to open up a separate dialogue to pick a device/LVD/Light Fixture device, and then place it. In other words, I'd like to bypass the select device dialogue altogether whenever possible.

Redefine Panel Schedule Blocks
Add a command to automatically erase and reinsert panel schedules so that attribute locations are updated correctly.
Currently, you have to manually erase the schedule, redefine the block, and reinsert the schedule.

Command to Automatically Turn Photometric Layers On and Off
It would be nice to have ribbon menu icon commands to turn the photometric layers on and off as well as automatically turn the respective layer back on after doing a recalc of either general or egress lighting.

Show Locked CFM in Duct Centerline
I have been back into DM after a short break away from it's use. I have found that text now appears along the center line referencing that the width, depth, or shape of the duct has been locked. This is a great new feature. However, I feel that one of the most important features that could be shown as locked is that of the CFM. In a quick duct sizing and CFM check, by locking the CFM of the end duct in the various branch strings, one can size and determine very quickly how a system is going to be.…

Add command to match diffuser callout and location; just like you have for light fixtures.
It would be nice to at least have the command to match diffuser callout location.

More customization for equipment callouts
Add more complicated options for callouts on equipment.
Add MCA and MOCP as notes on the callout on the drawing.
See images on this forum post for examples:
http://forums.designmaster.biz/index.php?showtopic=1817If you vote for this, it would be helpful if you could leave a comment letting us know what values you want displayed in the equipment callout.

Total Load in Project
Please add capability to total loads for the project before the circuiting is complete.
I would like to have a load sheet that keeps track of the total project load.
What I use now is a modified panel shedule that only shows the loads for a dummy panel I create called service. I connect all the panels together and then to Service. This gives me a total load analysis for the project, but only after the design is complete. I need to be able to confirm my loads and service sizing at the design development stage before circuiting.
A consideration…

Vertical Alignment of Schedules
Add an option to control the vertical alignment of text in schedule cells.
Currently everything is justified to the top of the cell. Make it so that text can be centered or at the bottom instead.

Export Equipment List to Excel
Export a list of equipment connections and information to a file that can be opened and viewed in Excel. The file would be for post-processing only. Any changes to the equipment would still be made using the other DM commands.

Selected device type to find that are uncircuited
Often I circuit items by device type, such as equipment first, then general receptacles, and finally lighting. Sometimes I only show the light fixtures or site lighting but don't ever circuit them as a lighting designer is taking that part of the contract. So under either situation if the symbols have already been placed and I do the “Highlight Uncircuited Devices” command, I get so many lines going all over the place that I can't find out which receptacles I haven't circuited. It would be nice under the Highlight Uncircuited Devices label you have a sub-selection of: Receptacle, Lights, Equipment,…

Import single piece of equipment
Currently, the "Import Equipment from Another Project" command imports all the equipment. Update that function to allow you to choose specific pieces of equipment to import.

put alternating shading on successive rows in outputted html tables/reports
For example, when I print an HVAC load calculation report, the many row entries can be difficult to follow visually across the screen. This obviously won't be useful in absolutely every case, but an option to have a little bgcolor="#EEEEEE" every other line would be awesome.

Find Unlooped Devices
A function similar to “Find Uncircuited” that finds elements that are circuited but have not been looped – “Find Unlooped” or something of that nature. I often am at risk of missing a dedicated receptacle or single equipment connection that I circuited, but missed when I was going through the looping/home run process.

More MCC Stater Sizes
Is it possible to modify the list of standard starter sizes to include VFD, Soft Switch, etc? Or even to choose 'None' and just type it in the Description field?
I've used the ddedit command on the MCC schedule inserted into the drawing to manually modify it, but if anybody does a coordination this will be lost.
