Light Fixture Settings - Different Blocks
The ability to define an egress fixture as the same fixture/block as the normal fixtures, with an option to turn a hatch on/off to differentiate. Similar to in Revit, where you can set an instance parameter and check it to turn fixtures into the egress blocks. The fixture type stays the same, only the visible block changes.

Use commas or spaces to separate voltage, #poles, #wires ect for equipment callouts
Currently information on the equipment call out is all grouped together without separation. We have had this requested several times by our clients who would like this changed on our drawings. To currently meet this request we are spending to much time adjusting these individually.

Locate and edit schedules within groups to create T.I. voltage drop and other schedules that don't include the entire project.
When there is T.I. work within a large project you want to show only the the voltage drop for the TI space. You have to deselect all the equipment not in the space one at a time to show a voltage drop schedule for just the TI work. What if you could group the panels in a similar way to luminaires so that the TI voltage drop or fault schedule has only the TI panels, without disabling the ability to show a schedule for the main project or another TI within that project.

Count devices connected to recurring panels
Have schedule quantities and takeoffs count the number of items connected to recurring panels.

Unique ID for all Feeders and Branch Circuits
Have a way to make a unique cable ID for every feeder, branch circuit and low voltage circuit. For example P-MCC1-001 for the power cable fed from MCC1 or PT-FLOWGAS-003 for a pressure transmitter.
I'm working on a big industrial plant where I need a have a cable number for every cable in the plant.
I would like to have the ID on the one line, plan view drawing and export to Excel.

Do "Amps by Phase" using calculated loads on high-leg delta panels
High-leg delta panels are always unbalanced. The balanced 3-phase amps we display is not a good number to use when sizing these panels. The connected amps by phase does not account for largest motor loads or continuous loads.
Add the ability to determine the amps by phase using calculated loads. The largest motor, lighting, and continuous loads would all be calculated at 125%. All other loads would be calculated at 100%.

Improve Indoor Lighting Level Report
Add "Allowed Watts / SF" as a field to rooms.
Add "Allowed Watts / SF" and "Total Allowed Watts" as columns to the indoor lighting schedule.
Add a "Totals" row at the bottom that totals the area, allowed watts, and computed watts.

Redundant Ground
Add "Redundant Ground" as an option for receptacles. Would add an additional ground wire to the tick marks and add an "RG" or similar label to the receptacle itself.

Photometric calculation schedule
I would like to suggest that the photometric calculation schedule be a combined schedule for all rooms instead of a dedicated schedule for each single room/space (or both options be available). We are typically asked to provide a single schedule that lists the room/space name in the first column and then the various footcandle columns.

Insert Devices via command line
Be able to insert a receptacle/device without picking it from the 'Insert Receptacle' form. A command followed by the device name would prompt the user to place the receptacle like they just clicked "OK" after selecting a device.

A spreadsheet like table, simular to the fault calculations, that shows all the load calculation fields by panel, as they move to the final
A spreadsheet like table, similar to the fault calculations, that shows all the load calculation categories by panel, as they move to the final service calculation. We could then turn the load calculation footer off on the panel schedules and include this summary table in the drawings. It would also be great to figure out how the loads are adding up.

Lighting loads - additional options
I like the recent addition of the general lighting loads, but there are a couple of additional things that I would like to see related to that.
- I think that the calculated load should include the greater of the general lighting load or the connected lighting load. The NEC states that the values for the general lighting loads are minimum values and that they may not be adequate.
Ok, so this is probably a low priority because the NEC values are pretty conservative. With the increased adoption of energy conservation codes it becomes less likely that the connected lighting load…

Existing Loads & Metered Demand
Include, in options, the ability to not include existing (layered) items in panel, feeder, and service calculations. I'd like to enter the load to keep track of it, but have the ability to exclude it from the load calculations since "existing" would be included in the metered demand load.

Multi text search
implement Multi-Text search through out the menus.
So for example when searching through the Insert Receptacle menu and in my case we have several thousand pieces of equipment. if the equipment is called 'RX99S' instead of just allowing us to hit 'R' and starting us off at the beginning of the list of 'R' equipment allow us to type out 'RX99S' and design master go straight to the piece of equipment. this is a very simple change to the code in design master and would save tons of time on projects.

Generator Load Calculations
Calculate generator loads correctly, mostly by being able to specify that certain loads should not be included in the generator load.

Add "Clear Circuit" Button Back to "Circuiting" Dialog Box
Add the "Clear Circuit" command back to the "Circuiting" dialog box. This button will set all the breaker and branch circuit sizing options back to "Size Automatically", set all the fixed loads to "0", and set the circuit descriptions to be blank.
