Inform Of Connected Load On A Switch
When connecting loads on a switch, a tally of the load in amps should be available as a guide so as not to overload a switch. For example a dimming switch rated at 800W should not exceed 6.7A at 120V, otherwise the switch is overloaded and may fail.

This feature will be included in DM Electrical 8.4.

Right you are, Andrew! We need to give ourselves credit and mark this as complete. We added a new command, "DM Electrical->Switches->View Switch Load", to DM Electrical 8.4 (currently in beta, scheduled for release in early 2016). It will display the load for a switch exactly as requested by this wish.

commentedDoesn't the "View switch load" command fulfill the desired functionality?
Or was that command just recently added specifically to address this request?

commentedI would like to expand this feature to include: - Total electrical load on switch. - Types of fixtures/devices connected to switch (e.g. light fixtures or receptacles). - Counts of fixtures connected to switch. This information would be helpful when putting together lighting control schedules.
