If you do this you might as well add that feature to any other device, especially light fixtures where are very much needed for outdoor mounting heights. I think mounting height for fixtures is on another wish list.

Not just Industrial, but any fixture that a contractor has to mount a certain height such as pendants, site, wall, cable mounted all need an individual mounting height for the contractor to know what level it is at. Visual, Revit, and AGI32 all have this as standard. Also my top lighting reps always include this info with their photometric submittals. Also the attribute about turning this layer off would also include the point and boundaries of the photometric.

In industrial applications we need to indicate on the drawings the mounting height of fixtures. This would also help when calculating photometrics that your fixtures are at the correct height. This attribute could be on a layer that could be turned off if not needed.
