    You can create a layer in DM to do this and call it layer whatever your heart desires.

    It is under DM Electrical -> Customization -> Layers

    I would prefer this to be a manual command. Many times I will place Hot, Cold, Drainage and Venting on the same drawing. Then breaks will be placed randomly in the plumbing lines in the view ports. Being able to save pipe breaks would be nice.
