When I saw the REVIT presention here at our office and when I found out that the piping was not being sized automatically, I was very dissapointed. I remember 10-13 years ago, we had time to do calculations manually and transfer that to paper. Today, Almost every owner wants their project be done yesterday.

Yes, when we implement this, there will definitely be options for different sizing tables, which is what makes this a trickier problem to solve than it first seems.

Let's also include the ability for the user to insert their own tables of sizing criteria; different offices work to different sizing standards, so allowing this will make the tool much more flexible.

To bring the plumbing program to the standard of the Electrical and Mechanical programs, the program must be able to size pipe, otherwise it is just a drafting program.

Without this capability, plumbing is just another drafting program
