Calculate Whole Project on Workshared Project
On large workshared projects, it's virtually impossible to find a single time in a 24-hour window where no one is working on the electrical model. This means someone always has ownership of something, and this prevents us from calculating the whole project. It would be nice if the tool could work around checked out elements and just make a note of which elements were not updated. Right now, we get errors about other users having ownership, and then all the changes appear to be rolled back.

Our next release has one feature: proper handling of worksharing. We hope to be ready to start testing next week.
Calculations will finish even if elements are checked out. Those won't be updated obviously but everything else will. We added new "Last Modified" parameter to everything too so you can keep track of how long it has been since a full calculation has been run.

The recent addition of relinquishing after a sync does not address the issue of workset borrowers preventing a DM calculation, either. Figuring out how to resolve this issue will be a major quality of life improvement in ElectroBIM on workshared projects. In our design group, we often have more than four designers working simultaneously in any of our electrical projects and they span two time zones so the the OP is correct in saying that the engineer who is working on the design of the distribution system often must work at very early or late hours of the day in order to run DM calcs.
