Annotation Scaling / Multiple Scales on a Single Drawing
Add support for annotative scale factors for blocks and text. This would allow blocks and text to be the same size in different scaled viewports.

I totally agree!

Multiple north arrows is great - can now have multiple floors in a single drawing. Having the scale associated with the north arrow instead of dimscale would be very helpful. I don't think annotative text/blocks are a high priority and would prefer a simple variable/north arrow based solution.

Having the ability to create multiple view-port at different scale, is use in a routine bases here. Having the option to do so, will be a plus, it let me take advantage of the Tabs in auto-cad, without creating a separate file.

I would love to be able to use just on scale and be able to adjust the scale in viewport in sheet sets. It would keep the drawing file structure easier.

It honestly isn't hard to do annotative scales with design master blocks right now. It would be nice if everything ran annotatively though, as that's where the software has been going since 2008. My only request is that the DM ties multiple scales to the CAnnoScaleValue and make sure it's compatible with sheet set manager views.

If this is implemented, please offer it as an option. Keep the ability to continue without requiring the use of annotative scaling!

Why not just use dimscale and then a device scale over-ride multiplier of the dimscale when placing a device on the drawing or querying the device? Not sure how using the alignment point would help as that would be the same as the way I do it now with a seperate drawing using a different dimscale. It does help, but you still can only put a receptacle in once and circuit it once.

Yes, setting the scale and storing it with the area, rather than using DIMSCALE, would be one way to implement this. That's likely what we will end up doing.

I agree with both Bryant and Corinne. AutoCAD likes to default to annotative text. We make plan notes and leaders in annotative and continuely ahve to switch back and forth betweeen the two. Annotative devices would make views much simpler and misc texts more consistent.

I agree with Corinne, this is a big pain when working on site drawings that have detail views of the same devices. Many times we copy the completed model space to a sheet manually circuiting everything at the proper scale. Other times we create a seperate drawing in the same folder with a different dimscale. However, either way makes one of them not be in sync with intelligence.

This is huge for us. It would really save us some considerable time to not have to create these blocks in different drawings for the different scales.
