"My concern is the load calculations when connecting all of the panels to the Main Distribution Panel" See wish list for panel based demand factor. That would solve the problem that I too also have all the time. You need to be able to say "Range" and then on P1 you would put a demand factor. Then on the Floor Panel you would put another demand factor and on the MDP another. Problem is then solved, only you would have to figure out the demand that you want.

along with this, it would be nice to be able to copy a completed panel and just give it a new name.

We design many hotels and condos with identical electrical panels in most of the units. We have the kludge that you provided, but it takes a lot of time.
