Change breaker size in Panel Schedule based on Revit family parameter
Change breaker size in Panel Schedule based on Revit family type parameter.
16 votesThis request is available in ElectroBIM 2.1.3 using the parameter linking feature.

Upsize wire of branch circuits based on voltage drop
have the branch circuits upsize wire based on the voltage drop or have a setting similar to what we have in AutoCAD.
14 votesThis feature was added in ElectroBIM 2.2.1.

One-Line Export to Drafting Views
If there was a way to have the export of one line diagrams go to drafting views instead of populating external dwgs?
8 votesThis feature was added in DM Electrical 2.0.

Calculate Whole Project on Workshared Project
On large workshared projects, it's virtually impossible to find a single time in a 24-hour window where no one is working on the electrical model. This means someone always has ownership of something, and this prevents us from calculating the whole project. It would be nice if the tool could work around checked out elements and just make a note of which elements were not updated. Right now, we get errors about other users having ownership, and then all the changes appear to be rolled back.
7 votesThis feature is available in 2.3.1. It adds proper handling of worksharing.
Calculations will finish even if elements are checked out. We alert you to elements that are being used by someone else. There is a new "Last Modified" parameter that lets you know the last time a calculation was run on an item.

Automatically generate one-line diagram in Revit based on distribution system.
Automation is a must! It's all about efficiency to allow more time to focus on aesthetics and functionality, the things that really matter to clients.
I would not see this as a reverse workflow. Many times I will place panels in the model prior to drafting a one-line.
6 votesElectroBIM 2.1.2 added the Generate One-Line command.
ElectroBIM 2.2.3 added the Generate Riser command.

Equipment Connections on Revit One-Line Diagram
Be able to display equipment connections from the Revit model on the one-line diagram.
5 votesThis feature is completed and will be included in DM Electrical RT 1.2 when it is released.

Revit 2018 added a feature that essentially does this for circuits. We updated DMERT to have a “Revit Calculated” option for feeder lengths that you can set to use this value.

Adjust Feeders and branch circuit sizing based on derating
Adjust the wire size of feeders and branch circuits based on derating. This calculation needs to account for Ambient Temperature Correction Factors, Adjustment Factors and conduits on a roof (even though NEC 2017 eliminated this one). For example, there is an option in DME RT feeder sizing that asks about a double neutral. If we are acknowledging we need a double neutral, it should be understood the neutral is a current carrying conductor and should adjust the wire size and conduit size per the NEC.

Make bulk changes to multiple circuits in Circuit Edit
Allow for multiple selections of circuits in the circuit edit windows to allow for changes to multiple circuits at one time. (This is very useful for existing circuits when we need to set wire and conduit size as "Existing")
3 votesThis feature was added in ElectroBIM 2.2.2.

Add Equipment Items to Fault Current and Voltage Drop schedules.
Add mechanical and elevator equipment to the fault current calculations. Similar to DM Electrical CAD. We get the requirement for 5kA SCCR equipment from mechanical and elevator and we need to know what those values are.
3 votesFault and voltage drop values are included on circuits and devices as shared parameters. Use standard Revit functionality to create schedules of those items to display the information.
-
Edit Multiple - Instance Edit
Enable editing multiple instances with the Instance Edit functionality, similar to Edit Multiple in AutoCAD.
Use case: You have a line of 10 motors and the mechanical designer decides that they need to bump up 5 hp.
Current workflow: Instance edit one at a time or delete and start from scratch.
Desired workflow: Multiple Instance Edit to change MCA and MOCP.

Calculate + Sync and Relinquish
Provide a Calculate/synchronize/relinquish button for when we have 3 people in the same file. When we run calculate it locks all objects from other people in the file. we need easier ability to have multiple people working
2 votesWe added this to ElectroBIM 2.2.3.
-
Revit schedule for breaker trip settings
Add shared parameters for breaker type, MFG, settings so a schedule can be created that show the settings for each breaker that does not have fixed settings.
2 votesThis feature was added in ElectroBIM 2.1.3.
-
Locked Values Report
Create a report of all values that are locked, overridden, or otherwise changed from the default value by the user.
2 votesThe Override Review feature was added in DM Electrical RT 2.1.1.

Individual Customization Settings Import/Export
At times I just want to push some changes I made, say to the wire ampacities, to our template from a project. However, I am always concerned that other settings my be incidentally changed since the import/export is all or nothing.
Providing a dialog to select what gets imported/exported or providing import/export in the individual dialogs would be helpful. I think the former would be preferred.
2 votesWe added options for what to import and export to DM Electrical RT 2.1.1.
-
Unique ID for each feeder in the project
Assign a unique ID to each feeder in a project that can be scheduled in Revit and displayed in the AutoCAD one-line diagram.
2 votesThis feature can be handled in DM Electrical RT 2.1.2. The EVOLVE integration included a Conduit ID field for each feeder that is unique.
-
Import and Export Customization Settings
Be able to import and export customization settings from a project (options, conduit sizes, wire sizes, and wire ampacities).
2 votesThis feature is completed and will be included in DM Electrical RT 1.2 when it is released.

Warn users not to Edit Family from detail items
It's easy to accidently try to edit the upstream or downstream OCP settings by using the Edit Family tools on the detail item instead of the electrical equipment or electrical fixture. It even lets you go so far as to fill out the settings for the detail item, but you won't see the results in your model. It would be nice if there was a warning if you try to use the Edit Family tool from within a Detail Item, since that likely means you're editing the wrong information.
1 voteGood idea! We added this check and prevent you from running the command in detail items. It will be included in the next update we release.
