Add spell check option for schedules.
ACAD spell check does not update Design Master Schedules. ACAD spell check needs to be run every time a schedule is updated.

Edit Fixture Units in "Edit Multiple Pipes" Command
The Edit Multiple Pipes command needs to have the ability to change fixture units. Sometimes I forget to add fixture units to hot and cold water pipes I'm copying to other sink or shower locations and then I have to change each one individually or erase them and copy them again after I've added fixtures units to the first one to be copied. The current project I'm working on is a large university sports complex with a lot of locker rooms so you can imagine the number of showers, sinks and toilets, etc.

Convert panel schedules to tables
Convert panel schedules to use the AutoCAD table feature so they are more customizable.

Provide a button (or perhaps under the Cir Opts button) for quicker selection of "Display tick marks on loops"
I've given up on loop tickmarks for lighting loops (because of all the energy code relay and occupancy sensor requirements); but I still do tickmarks on power loops. It would be great to be able to more quickly toggle between displaying tickmarks on loops.

Current Limiting Panel
For limiting the current to track lights to meet Energy Code budgets, we use Current Limiting Panels like Silver Bullet. We have to manually size the circuit breakers based on the load on the lighting circuit. The breakers which might be 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 amps, etc. will only handle up to about 80% of their rating due to inrush current to ballasts and LED drivers. So, there is a lot of trial and error and manual calculating to size the breakers. Then the Current Limiting Panel schedule or diagram is updated manually in Acad, which introduces errors and…

Add Standard UPC and IPC Sizing Charts
Especially for waste and vent sizing, the conversion from fixture units to pipe sizing is standard for all cases for the UPC and IPC. Generating sizing charts for cold and hot water, automatically through a series of settings possibly, would be probably more difficult to implement but equally helpful to make sizing plumbing easier.

Add Standard UPC and IPC Water Closet and Urinal Sizing Charts
In the UPC and IPC the conversion from water closet counts and urinal counts to a number of fixture units is a standard table. Adding this to Design Master would be a small change yet very helpful.

Canadian Electrical Code Capability
As the word of this software is increasing in Canada, it would be a good idea to have the capabilities of incorporating the Canadian Electrical Code into Design Master.

Different layer systems for different loops and tick marks on a circuit
We can assign layers based on one-line (panel) or circuit or devices however not all parts of circuit are on the same layer. I may run some in the slab and some in the walls. Having the ability toi use the manual loop tool to change the layer system would be helpful. Also having the ability to assign a device to multiple layers would be helpful as well.
Or have some of the loops new and some existing.

Importing Revit Model Information
It would be a great tool if we can have the ability to import model information from Revit drawings which are done by architects. A simple feature would be importing the rooms. This would speed up the process and make designs happen faster.

Low Voltage Homerun With Keynote
On low voltage systems drawings (Fire Alarm, Security, CCTV) we treat homeruns differently than power and lighting homeruns. We do not use the circuit label, wire callout, or tick marks, but rather we use a keynote. If there was a “keynote homerun”, it would save us the time spent removing the wire call-out every time we create low voltage homerun.

Device information on hover
When you hover (or float) your mouse over a DM device, display information about that device in a tooltip.
For DM Electrical, possible information would include callout and circuit number

Add Static Regain that balances duct system correctly
Current Static Regain calculation does not seem to calc and size ducts to balance system. The static regain should balance the system where the ducts split.

Define data base location in directory other than project directory.
Give us the ability to specify directory location for the project data base rather than being forced to have the data base in the project directory. In a multi-tenant project if each tenant space is in a separate sub-directory you have to copy the building master data base to each sub-directory in order to work on that space. It is difficult to keep track of which tenant space has the most up to date project data base. In an earlier version of Designmaster, we had the ability to look for the data base in a directory above the specific project…

The ability to easily copy all pipes including risers to other drawings.
Would be great to be able to copy all piping, including risers to other drawings. Even if you had the option to change risers to pipe I think it would be helpful and save time from having to chase down and draw all the risers a second time.
